Frequently Asked Questions
Which cleaning products are recommended to clean the acrylic surface of my bath?
In most cases, your bath can be cleaned using a mild liquid soap and a soft cloth. If a stronger cleanser is needed, check the product label to ensure that it is safe for use on acrylic surfaces and does not contain any abrasives. You can also check our website under the “Support” tab for care and cleaning instructions.
How do I clean my whirlpool or Airbath system?
To remove accumulations of bath residue from the whirlpool or Airbath system, it is recommended that a whirlpool bath be purged at least once a month. We recommendJetFresh®whirlpool bath system cleaner specifically for this purpose.
Can I use bath additives such as bubble bath, bath salts, and bath oils?
Additives can be used to enhance your bathing experience. However, be very careful when using bubble bath as increased action in the whirlpool or Airbath will generate more bubbles than necessary. Always use small amounts of any additives until you find the desired amount. It is also suggested to clean your system on a regular basis, especially when using these additives.
How does an inline water heater work?
The heater turns on when a vacuum switch senses water flow through the heater and the internal thermostat automatically senses the need for heat. The thermostat is set at the maximum temperature. The heater is designed to maintain the water temperature around 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
How do I find the model and serial number of my bath?
The model and serial number is located on a white label on the pump side of the tub and the overflow side of the tub.
Why is an access panel necessary?
In the event that servicing the pump/motor should become necessary, the access panel would facilitate service or maintenance requirements.
How can I obtain a replacement part for my whirlpool bath?
A replacement part can be obtained through any authorized dealer.
How can I obtain an Owner's Manual?
Go to the “Support” section of our website and select the “downloads” from the pull down menu.
How do I determine the proper water heater size for a new whirlpool bath?
A general rule of thumb is that the water heater should be two-thirds the size of the water capacity of the bath. For example, a 60-gallon bath would require a 40-gallon water heater. This rough formula does not take into consideration other demands that might be placed on the water heater. We recommend consulting a plumber for your particular application.
What's a tile flange and will I need one on my tub?
A tile flange is a barrier that typically goes around one, two, or three sides of the tub and is raised approximately 1/2" or more above the deck. It is highly recommended on bathtubs being used as a shower to prevent water from dripping off the deck between the tub and finished wall.
What is the difference between a right hand bath and a left hand bath?
When looking at a whirlpool bath you must establish the reference point.
On an end-drain bath, the right hand or left hand designation refers to the location of the drain.
On an end-drain bath, the pump and motor location will be at the opposite end from the drain (unless specified otherwise).
On a center-drain bath, the right hand or left hand designation refers to the pump and motor location.
